Rapid KL launches Kelana Jaya Line track replacement programme
Rapid KL will commence phased track replacement works on the Kelana Jaya Line starting September 13, marking a significant infrastructure upgrade for the light rail transit system serving Kuala Lumpur's commuters.

The public transport operator is undertaking the maintenance project to enhance the reliability and safety of the popular transit corridor that connects central Kuala Lumpur to the Petaling Jaya area. The track replacement initiative will be executed in phases to minimise disruption to regular commuter services on the line.
The works are part of Rapid KL's ongoing commitment to maintaining and upgrading its light rail infrastructure. The Kelana Jaya Line, which opened in 1998, serves a significant number of daily passengers across its 46-kilometre route and 37 stations.
Commuters are advised to monitor updates from Rapid KL regarding any potential service adjustments or schedule modifications during the replacement works. The operator has indicated that the phased approach will allow the line to continue operating while essential maintenance is carried out.
The track replacement project represents one of several infrastructure investments aimed at sustaining service quality on Kuala Lumpur's rapid transit network and ensuring the system meets current operational standards.
