Real Madrid routs Valencia 3-0 to catch Barcelona atop La Liga

Real Madrid claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over Valencia on Sunday, closing the gap on La Liga's front-runners with a performance that highlighted their attacking prowess. The win lifted Madrid level on points with table-toppers Barcelona, intensifying the title race in Spain's premier football division.

Madrid took control early through Valverde's opening goal in the first half, before fellow midfielder Guler doubled the lead to establish a commanding position at the interval. The home side's dominance was complete when French striker Kylian Mbappe added a third goal following the break, ending Valencia's hopes of a comeback.

The comfortable victory underscores Real Madrid's title credentials as the season reaches its critical phase. Valencia, meanwhile, offered limited resistance and will look to regroup in their next fixture as they seek to salvage their campaign. With Barcelona and Real Madrid now level on points, the La Liga title race remains wide open heading into the coming weeks.
