Reddy pledges to champion interests of 'original Reddys' in Rayalaseema

The former Rajya Sabha member alleged that both the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress Party have historically neglected Rayalaseema's interests, pursuing electoral gains rather than genuine regional development. He contended that his party would reverse this trend by championing the cause of 'original Reddys' and restoring their dignity in state politics.
Outlining his party's manifesto for the region, he announced a slate of welfare measures aimed at youth employment and educational advancement. The proposals include generating 30 lakh jobs within five years, implementing a job calendar released annually on January 1, and establishing free, high-quality education in government schools across the region.
To address immediate unemployment concerns, he pledged a monthly allowance of ₹10,000 for jobless youth until they secure employment. These commitments reflect a focus on bridging the economic gap between Rayalaseema and more developed parts of the state, addressing longstanding grievances about regional imbalance in resource allocation.
The announcement comes amid intensifying political competition in Andhra Pradesh, with parties vying to consolidate support among influential community groups. The emphasis on Rayalaseema's distinct identity signals an attempt to mobilize voters around regional pride and tangible economic benefits.
