Reliance Industries reported a significant uptick in quarterly performance, with consolidated Ebitda reaching Rs 56,616 crore in the three months ended September, marking a 19% increase from the corresponding period last year. The improvement was underpinned by strength in the company's oil-to-chemicals (O2C) business segment, which capitalised on favourable market conditions and operational efficiency gains.
Net profit for the quarter climbed to approximately Rs 25,548 crore, representing a 22% year-on-year expansion and outpacing the Ebitda growth rate. The stronger bottom-line performance reflected improved operational leverage across the company's diversified portfolio of energy and petrochemicals assets.
Market reaction to the results was swift, with Reliance's shares advancing beyond 6% as investors assessed the company's operational performance and earnings trajectory. The O2C business, which integrates crude oil refining with downstream petrochemicals production, emerged as a key driver of profitability amid volatile global commodity prices.
The quarterly performance underscores the resilience of Reliance's integrated business model, which allows the conglomerate to capture value across multiple stages of energy and chemical production. Analysts will be closely monitoring whether the company can sustain this momentum through the remainder of the financial year.
