Reliance to raise ₹10,000 crore via decade-long bonds at 7.90%

Reliance Industries is set to tap debt markets with a ₹10,000 crore bond issuance with a 10-year maturity and coupon rate of 7.90 per cent, according to bankers overseeing the transaction. The offering represents a significant portion of the conglomerate's broader capital mobilisation drive aimed at funding expansion and deleveraging initiatives.

This latest fundraising exercise comes on the heels of Reliance's successful ₹12,000 crore five-year bond issue executed just a fortnight ago. The rapid succession of debt offerings underscores the company's acceleration of its capital-raising roadmap to strengthen its balance sheet and fund strategic investments.

The 10-year tenor carries considerable significance for long-term project financing, particularly as Reliance continues its push into energy transition and downstream expansion. The 7.90 per cent coupon reflects prevailing market conditions and the company's strong credit profile in the domestic debt market.

Reliance's multi-pronged fundraising approach through different maturity tenors allows the conglomerate to manage its debt structure efficiently while accessing capital at competitive rates. Bankers managing the transaction are expected to complete the placement process as market conditions permit.
