CALAPAN CITY — Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla has advocated for the integration of Mimaropa with the Calabarzon region, arguing that consolidating administrative structures would enhance the efficiency of government services.
Remulla presented the proposal during a Senate Finance Subcommittee J hearing on Thursday, responding to questions raised by Senator Erwin Tulfo regarding mechanisms to strengthen service delivery across the provinces.
The secretary's position reflects broader efforts to examine regional administrative structures and identify opportunities to eliminate duplication of functions and reduce operational costs.
