Restaurant owner killed in shooting incident in Moratuwa

A restaurant proprietor was fatally shot in Moratuwa in what appears to be a targeted attack. The incident marks another case of gun violence in the Western Province and has drawn the attention of law enforcement agencies.

Police units responded to reports of the shooting and arrived at the scene to find the victim. The body was subsequently removed for post-mortem examination at the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer's office to determine the exact cause of death.

Investigators are examining possible motives for the shooting, which may be linked to criminal activity, business disputes, or personal grievances. Officers have begun collecting evidence and witness statements from the area.

The Moratuwa Police are coordinating with other law enforcement divisions as they work to identify and apprehend the perpetrator or perpetrators involved in the incident. Authorities are appealing for information from members of the public who may have witnessed the shooting or have knowledge of the circumstances.
