Restaurant owner shot dead in Kalutara attack; wife injured

The shooting took place in front of a restaurant in the Nagoda locality of Kalutara on the morning of October 9. The restaurant owner was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife was wounded during the attack and received medical attention for her injuries.
According to initial reports, the assailant arrived at the location by motorcycle and opened fire before departing the area. The motive for the attack remains unclear, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
