Manila — Legal counsel for Leyte Representative Ferdinand Martin Romualdez claimed Tuesday that the Office of the Ombudsman is making statements to keep its case against the congressman afloat following the recantation of witness testimonies.
Attorney Ade Fajardo issued the statement in response to remarks made by Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano. Fajardo indicated that the Romualdez camp disagreed with the prosecution's characterization of recent developments in the case.
