The Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan (RCCM) hosted its 11th Dialog Club Vision Rotary Par 3 Golf Classic on Saturday, 31 October, drawing more than 100 participants to the Royal Colombo Golf Club. The event, supported by title sponsor Dialog Club Vision, maintained the tournament's tradition of merging sporting excellence with community impact.
Darshan Veeraragavan secured the Overall Gross Winner title at the championship event, demonstrating competitive play across the par 3 course. The tournament format, focused on par 3 holes, provided both amateur and experienced golfers an accessible platform for participation.
Organized by RCCM in partnership with Dialog Club Vision, the event reflected the Rotary Club's commitment to combining recreational activities with social responsibility. Golf classics of this nature typically serve as fundraising mechanisms for community development initiatives, aligning with Rotary's broader mission of service and charitable work across the region.
The successful turnout underscored continued interest in golf tournaments within Sri Lanka's sporting community, while reinforcing the role such events play in supporting local charitable causes through participant engagement and sponsorship.
