RTS Link railway inches toward opening: readiness assessment for both nations

The RTS Link project, which will provide a dedicated rail corridor between Bukit Cheras in Kuala Lumpur and Woodlands in Singapore, has reached an advanced stage of construction with completion expected within months. The 119-kilometre railway represents a significant infrastructure achievement for both nations and is poised to become a critical transport artery for cross-border commuters and freight movement.

As the project enters its final phases, both Malaysian and Singaporean authorities are focused on ensuring operational readiness across multiple fronts. Key considerations include systems integration, staff training, regulatory alignment, and testing of safety protocols.
