KOTA KINABALU, Sept 23 — A Sabah man pleaded guilty in court here today to charges of causing injury to his ex-girlfriend and making threatening statements, resulting in a RM5,800 fine.
The 35-year-old defendant admitted to biting the woman during an altercation, as well as threatening to kill her. The incident underscores the persistent problem of intimate partner violence in Malaysia, where such cases continue to be reported across the nation.
