KOTA KINABALU, Oct 17 — Sabah's ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition is stepping up its election campaign with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor addressing thousands of delegates in Kudat as part of a wider electoral strategy.
The gathering brings together more than 3,000 party delegates who are expected to hear details of the coalition's election platform and campaign objectives. The Kudat event marks a significant push by GRS to consolidate support across the state ahead of the electoral contest.
GRS has set its sights on capturing 16 parliamentary seats, signaling the coalition's ambition to expand its legislative footprint. The target reflects the party's confidence in its electoral prospects and its efforts to appeal to voters across multiple constituencies.
The campaign rally underscores the importance GRS places on grassroots engagement and mobilizing its party machinery in key regions. By visiting Kudat, a strategically important constituency in northern Sabah, the coalition is demonstrating its commitment to campaigning across the state's diverse electoral landscape.
As the electoral period progresses, GRS's efforts to unite its delegates and communicate its policy platform will be critical to achieving its parliamentary seat ambitions.
