KOTA KINABALU — Kampung Murni A will benefit from a RM600,000 grant from the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry (NRES) to enhance community amenities and support local youth development.
The allocation will fund the construction of a community hall, a futsal court, and a youth skills training programme for residents. The initiatives are aimed at strengthening community infrastructure and providing opportunities for young people in the village.
The funding comes as part of broader efforts by the ministry to support grassroots development in Sabah. Such investments in recreational facilities and skills training programmes are intended to foster community engagement and create pathways for youth employment and entrepreneurship.
Village leaders have welcomed the allocation, noting that the new facilities will provide a central gathering space for residents and encourage participation in sports and recreational activities. The youth skills training component is expected to equip participants with practical qualifications relevant to the local job market.
