Sabarimala temple board chief briefs Kerala minister on pilgrimage readiness

The president of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has held discussions with Kerala's Devaswom Minister K. Muraleedharan regarding arrangements for the forthcoming Sabarimala pilgrimage season.

Following their meeting, Muraleedharan told reporters that the state government and the TDB have committed to working in tandem to facilitate an uninterrupted experience for pilgrims. The minister emphasized that both agencies would coordinate closely to address potential challenges during the busy season at the renowned hilltop temple in Pathanamthitta district.

The TDB oversees the management and religious affairs of major temples across the Travancore region, including the sacred Sabarimala shrine. Regular coordination meetings between temple management authorities and government officials precede major pilgrimage seasons to ensure adequate infrastructure, crowd management, and devotee safety.

Sabarimala, one of Hinduism's most visited pilgrimage destinations, attracts lakhs of devotees during its annual season. The temple's challenging mountain terrain and the volume of visitors necessitate meticulous planning by both religious and administrative authorities to prevent congestion and ensure orderly passage.
