Sajjan Singh Yadav named chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir

Sajjan Singh Yadav, an experienced administrator with significant experience in Delhi's governance framework, has assumed office as chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, according to official announcements. His appointment marks a transition in the union territory's top administrative position, bringing his considerable administrative acumen to the role.

In addition to his primary responsibilities in Jammu and Kashmir, Yadav has been assigned additional charge as additional chief secretary (industries) and will serve as chairperson of the Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC). These dual responsibilities underscore the government's confidence in his administrative capabilities across multiple portfolios.

The previous office holder, Santosh D Vaidya, has been relieved of these additional charges, clearing the way for the new administrative arrangement. Yadav's career trajectory through various key postings in the national capital has positioned him to manage the complex administrative demands of the union territory while simultaneously overseeing industrial development initiatives in Delhi.

The reorganisation reflects the government's efforts to streamline administrative structures across its governance framework, deploying experienced officers to critical positions requiring proven leadership and expertise in handling multifaceted governance challenges.
