Salahuddin, a former Bangladesh international, has assumed duties as the national cricket team's batting coach following an organizational restructuring within the Bangladesh Cricket Board. The appointment comes after Mohammad Ashraful stepped down from the role, signaling shifts in the cricket administration's coaching strategy.
The BCB has positioned Salahuddin to work with the national squad across multiple formats, focusing on enhancing batting performance and technical development. His appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the team's preparation as Bangladesh continues its campaigns in international cricket.
Salahuddin's cricket background and experience within the domestic circuit have qualified him for the role. The BCB indicated that the coaching change is part of broader efforts to strengthen the national team's support structure ahead of upcoming international commitments.
The new batting coach will work alongside the head coach and other support staff to develop players' skills and consistency. His primary focus will be on improving batting standards across Test, One-Day International, and Twenty20 formats as Bangladesh aims to enhance its competitive standing in global cricket.
