Cloud software provider Salesforce acknowledged on Monday that customers may experience continued disruptions to service, with the company unable to provide a confirmed timeline for complete restoration.
In an update to affected users, Salesforce indicated that while work was underway to resolve the situation, the scope and duration of the outage remained uncertain. The company advised customers to prepare contingency plans and monitor official channels for further updates.
Salesforce confirmed that GovCloud, its secure, isolated cloud computing environment built specifically for government agencies and organizations, had been successfully restored and was no longer affected by the outage. The company did not immediately provide details on the underlying cause of the disruption or which core services remained compromised.
The incident underscores the vulnerability of cloud infrastructure and the cascading impact service outages can have across enterprise customers relying on such platforms. Organizations using Salesforce for critical business operations have faced uncertainty as the company works to restore full functionality.
Tech companies typically provide regular status updates during major outages, and Salesforce indicated it would continue communicating with affected users as the situation develops.
