Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday declared that his party would not abandon its alliance partners, asserting that the primary political battle is directed against the BJP. Speaking at party headquarters, Yadav stated that the SP maintains unwavering loyalty to its coalition commitments whenever it agrees to work with allied parties.
"The Samajwadi Party never breaks alliances. When the Samajwadi Party agrees to move forward with others, it stands by them, and we have always honoured our commitments," Yadav said. He stressed that the party's core objective is to establish a government rooted in social justice, socialist ideology, and solidarity with the PDA—encompassing backward classes, Dalits, and religious minorities.
Yadav alleged that the ruling BJP fears the PDA constituency and is attempting to misrepresent this coalition. "The greater the suffering, the stronger the PDA will become," he asserted. The SP president also criticised the government's economic policies, citing rising prices of essential commodities as a concern particularly ahead of the festival season, reflecting broader public discontent over inflation.
