Samsung India profit plunges 36% despite marginal revenue growth

Samsung India Electronics' profitability came under significant pressure in FY26, with net profit sliding to ₹7,228.10 crore from ₹11,287.50 crore in the previous fiscal year, according to regulatory filings accessed through business intelligence platform Tofler.

The South Korean electronics major reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,12,000 crore in FY26, representing marginal growth of 1.2% from ₹1,11,183.40 crore in FY25. The company's total consolidated income, including other earnings, stood at ₹1,14,738.60 crore during the period.

The steep decline in profitability amid flat revenue growth points to rising operational costs and intensifying competitive pressures in India's consumer electronics market. The company operates across multiple segments in India including smartphones, tablets, televisions, home appliances and computing devices.

Samsung India Electronics did not respond to queries seeking comment on the financial results at the time of reporting.
