Samvardhana Motherson Adsys Tech Ltd (SMAST), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd (SAMIL), will acquire majority control of Rotary Connectors Pvt Ltd through the transaction valued at Rs 500.4 crore on an enterprise basis. The acquisition was greenlit by SAMIL's Board of Directors at a meeting held on Monday, according to regulatory filings.

Following completion of the deal, SMAST will hold 50.1 per cent of the equity share capital in Rotary Connectors, with the connector manufacturer subsequently becoming an indirect subsidiary of SAMIL. The existing promoters of Rotary Connectors will retain their 49.9 per cent stake in the company.
