San Fernando warns motorists to avoid flooded streets as monsoon rains persist

The City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office (CPOSCO) issued the advisory through social media posts on Friday afternoon as continuous downpours swept through Pampanga. According to reports issued at 2:19 p.m., Vista Rica and Sampaloc areas along MacArthur Avenue were among the sections rendered impassable to light vehicles.

Officials did not immediately specify how many roads remained affected or provide an estimated timeline for drainage and restoration of normal traffic conditions. The advisory came as the region continued to experience heavy precipitation from the monsoon system.

Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes and exercise caution when traveling through the city. Residents in flood-prone areas have been advised to remain vigilant and monitor updates from local government authorities for further advisories and safety information.
