San Juan City inaugurated its Breast Cancer Awareness Month program on Thursday at the Makabagong San Juan Theater, located within the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center. The launch event drew 236 participants, including breast cancer survivors, healthcare professionals, and community advocates.

Organized in partnership with the Caring Keri Foundation, the program centered on the theme "Wellness and Wisdom: A Journey of Strength and Survivorship." The initiative aims to promote awareness about breast cancer prevention, early detection, and support resources available to affected individuals and their families in the city.

The October observance is part of broader regional and international efforts to highlight the importance of regular screening and education about breast cancer. Health officials have emphasized that early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes and survival rates.

San Juan City's Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities will continue throughout October, with organizers planning additional educational sessions and support programs for the community.
