Sandiganbayan Rejects Uswag Rep. Ang's Bid to Dismiss Graft Case

The Sandiganbayan Sixth Division has denied the motion filed by Uswag Ilonggo party-list Representative James "Jojo" Ang to dismiss a graft case against him, according to rulings issued by the anti-graft court.
Ang's legal team had sought to dismiss the case and consolidate all 14 counts of the charges into a single division for judicial efficiency. However, the court rejected both petitions in separate resolutions, effectively allowing the cases to proceed in their current configuration.
The Sandiganbayan, the Philippines' primary court for trying high-ranking government officials and those accused of corruption, found no legal basis to grant Ang's requests. The decision underscores the court's determination to move forward with the graft proceedings against the congressman.
