Sanju Samson unfazed by unfamiliar conditions ahead of Asian Games semifinal

India's cricket captain Sanju Samson has dismissed concerns about unfamiliar playing conditions and adverse weather ahead of the Asian Games men's cricket semifinal against Sri Lanka in Nagoya. Samson stated that both teams would be starting fresh under identical circumstances, negating any potential advantage from prior familiarity with local conditions.

Despite persistent rainfall affecting preparations, the Indian team has maintained its focus on training regimens and strategic planning. The squad has incorporated indoor activities and conditioning work while also fine-tuning team combinations ahead of the crucial playoff match. This adaptive approach reflects the team's commitment to performing at full capacity regardless of external factors.

Samson also took time to acknowledge a significant milestone achieved by veteran batsman Virat Kohli, who recently completed 15,000 runs in one-day international cricket. The gesture highlighted Kohli's continued importance to India's cricket setup as the team prepares for its semifinal challenge.

The Indian cricket contingent appears well-prepared mentally and tactically for the high-stakes encounter, with the team management ensuring that weather-related disruptions do not hamper their readiness for the match against the Sri Lankan side.
