Sarawak air quality improves with majority locations showing moderate readings
Air quality across Sarawak has shown improvement, with only three locations recording unhealthy air pollution index readings. The majority of monitored sites nationwide are reporting moderate air quality levels.

Environmental monitoring data indicates a significant improvement in air quality conditions across Sarawak, with the state recording predominantly moderate air pollution index (API) readings across most locations.
Out of all monitored areas in the state, only three sites have registered unhealthy API levels, signalling a substantial decline in poor air quality hotspots. This represents a marked improvement from previous reporting periods when air pollution concerns had been more widespread throughout the region.
Nationwide data shows 63 locations across Malaysia are currently experiencing moderate API readings, which fall within the acceptable air quality range. These moderate readings indicate that air quality conditions are suitable for most outdoor activities, though individuals with respiratory sensitivities are still advised to take precautions.
The improvement in air quality has been attributed to favourable weather conditions and reduced haze-causing activities in the region. Environmental authorities continue to monitor air quality levels closely across all designated stations to ensure public health protection.
