Sarawak to review aviation safety protocols following helicopter accident

Sarawak's transport minister Lee Kim Shin announced Tuesday that the state government will undertake a thorough examination of its aviation safety framework in the wake of the recent helicopter incident that claimed lives.
The review will be conducted in consultation with findings from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and other aviation safety authorities, ensuring recommendations are based on evidence gathered during official investigations into the accident.
Ming said the state remains committed to maintaining the highest aviation safety standards for all aircraft operations within Sarawak. The review process will assess current protocols, operational procedures, and safety requirements across the state's aviation sector.
