A 30-year-old SBI employee allegedly shot his wife outside an ICICI Bank branch in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar area on Thursday afternoon, marking the beginning of a tragic sequence of events that ended with his death later that day.
Manas Bajpayee, the employee, allegedly fired multiple shots at his wife Divya as she stood outside the bank premises. After fleeing the scene, Bajpayee reportedly returned to his residence where he attacked his sister, who was reportedly unwell at the time.
Neighbors discovered Bajpayee's body inside the house after forcing open the door. At the time of discovery, religious recitations were playing in the background, according to witnesses at the scene.
