SBSP chief inaugurates development projects in Uttar Pradesh's Mau district

Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), inaugurated a series of development projects in Mau district on Tuesday, including the unveiling of a 51-foot national flag. The event marked the foundation-laying ceremony for multiple civic works in the eastern Uttar Pradesh constituency.

During the ceremony, Rajbhar made pointed remarks about the region's political landscape, directing criticism at state opposition figures and national Congress leadership. His comments reflected ongoing tensions within Uttar Pradesh's fractious political environment ahead of upcoming elections.

The SBSP, which has positioned itself as a regional political force focusing on backward castes and rural development, has sought to expand its presence through ground-level infrastructure projects. Rajbhar has previously contested elections in alliance with various parties, including the BJP and SP, before striking out independently.

The inauguration underscores efforts by regional political players to consolidate support through visible development initiatives at the grassroots level. Mau, a historically significant district in eastern UP, has been a key battleground for multiple political parties competing for electoral dominance.
