MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has issued a weather advisory for Monday, alerting residents to prepare for scattered rains and thunderstorms affecting several parts of the archipelago.

The state weather bureau attributed the expected precipitation to the combined effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), easterlies, and northeasterly wind flow systems. According to Pagasa's 4 a.m. bulletin, cloudy skies are forecast to blanket much of the country, with rain expected to intensify in affected areas during afternoon and evening hours.

Residents in vulnerable regions are advised to remain vigilant for localized flooding and landslides, particularly in areas prone to such hazards. Fishermen and maritime operators are also cautioned to exercise caution in coastal areas and at sea.

Pagesa continues to monitor atmospheric conditions and will issue updates as weather patterns develop throughout the day. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official weather bulletins and remain prepared for sudden weather changes.
