School owner dies in Cavite blaze of undetermined origin
A 70-year-old woman perished Wednesday night when fire swept through a private academy in Dasmariñas City, Cavite. The victim was identified as the school's proprietor, who lived on the premises.

The fatal fire broke out at Brentwood Academy of Dasmariñas Inc. located in Barangay Sta Cruz 1, according to initial reports from Calabarzon police released Thursday. The elderly victim, who served as owner of the educational institution, was on site when the blaze engulfed the facility.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire. Police said the incident remains under investigation as officials work to establish how the blaze ignited and spread through the school building.
The academy sustained extensive damage in the overnight incident. Authorities did not immediately disclose details regarding the structural condition of the facility or whether other individuals were present at the time of the fire.
