School Principal Dies After Collapsing on Gym Treadmill in Rajasthan

Beerbalram Meghwal, principal of a government school in Sardarshahar town of Churu district in Rajasthan, died suddenly while working out at a local gymnasium on Tuesday. According to reports, Meghwal lost his balance while running on a treadmill and fell to the ground. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

CCTV footage of the incident has since emerged, documenting the moment Meghwal fell from the exercise equipment. Gym staff and witnesses said he appeared to have lost his footing while using the treadmill before collapsing.

"The exact cause of death will be determined following a postmortem examination," said hospital authorities. Police have filed the death as an accidental case pending the autopsy report. Preliminary observations suggest a sudden loss of balance, though medical investigations are underway to rule out any underlying health complications that may have contributed to the incident.

The death has sparked renewed discussions about safety protocols in fitness centres and the importance of medical supervision during strenuous exercise, particularly for middle-aged individuals.
