MANILA — Educational institutions in select regions will suspend in-person classes on October 12 to accommodate scheduled water system maintenance and local festivities.

San Jose del Monte in Bulacan and Angeles City in Pampanga are among the areas implementing the temporary closure. The suspension is part of coordinated efforts to manage water supply disruptions as maintenance work proceeds across the regions.

San Jose del Monte has been recovering from recent water production challenges, with supply improvements reported following resolution of service interruptions. The maintenance work is expected to help sustain and enhance water distribution infrastructure in the area.

Local government units have advised students, parents, and school administrators to prepare for the class suspension. Schools in affected areas have been directed to inform stakeholders of the temporary schedule change to minimize disruption to the academic calendar.
