State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams have been placed on heightened alert in Uttarakhand's Champawat district as flash flooding originating from Nepal poses a potential threat to communities along the international border. The mountainous terrain and proximity to flooded areas across the frontier have prompted disaster management authorities to strengthen preparedness measures in the district.
