Search ends in tragedy as missing Apayao woman found dead

BAGUIO CITY — The search for a missing Apayao woman has concluded with the discovery of her remains near Dacao Dam, the municipal government confirmed. Revelyn Balatoc, a resident of Pudtol, was found on Sunday, September 20, three days after being reported missing on September 17.
The disappearance triggered an immediate response from local disaster management authorities. The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council activated its Emergency Operations Center to coordinate search and rescue efforts across the area.
Details regarding the circumstances of Balatoc's death were not immediately disclosed by municipal officials. The recovery of her remains brings to a close the three-day search operation that had engaged local emergency personnel.
