Sebi bans Trafiksol ITS and promoters from securities market for one year

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has prohibited Trafiksol ITS Private Limited and its promoters from accessing the securities market for one year, citing serious regulatory lapses during the company's SME platform initial public offering.

The regulator imposed aggregate penalties of ₹1.05 crore following an investigation into the ₹44.87 crore IPO. Sebi's findings revealed that the company made misleading disclosures to investors and concealed material facts that should have been revealed in offering documents.

The action underscores Sebi's commitment to protecting retail investors, particularly those participating in the SME IPO segment, which has witnessed significant growth in recent years. The regulator has increasingly scrutinized IPO filings for accuracy and completeness of disclosures.

Trafiksol ITS, which operates in the intelligent traffic systems sector, will be unable to raise capital through the securities market or participate in any market activities during the one-year ban period. The promoters face similar restrictions on their securities market participation.
