Security and investigative authorities in Jammu and Kashmir intensified counter-terror operations on Wednesday with simultaneous raids conducted across multiple locations in the border districts of Poonch and Udhampur. The State Investigation Agency initiated the coordinated action following intelligence inputs regarding potential security threats emanating from cross-border networks.

During preliminary investigations, agency officials uncovered indications that certain individuals under scrutiny had been engaged in suspicious communications with unidentified persons located across the Line of Control. The nature and extent of these communications remained unclear as investigations progressed, officials said.

The raids, which targeted five separate locations across the two districts, were part of a broader security operation aimed at disrupting potential terror-related activities in the region.
