Security personnel from the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Special Reaction Battalion (SRB), and Ansar force have been positioned throughout Gazipur following reports of worker unrest in the region's industrial zones. The 25-platoon deployment represents a significant security presence aimed at preventing escalation of labour disputes and maintaining public order.

Gazipur, a major industrial hub hosting numerous textile mills, manufacturing plants, and export-oriented facilities, has been experiencing periodic worker agitation over wages, working conditions, and employment terms. Such protests have the potential to disrupt production and supply chains across multiple sectors of the economy.

The multi-agency deployment reflects coordination between civil administration and security forces to address the situation preemptively. Authorities have not disclosed specific details regarding the nature of the unrest or demands being raised by workers at this time.

The presence of security forces is expected to remain in place until labour tensions ease and normal industrial operations are fully restored across the district.
