Security forces seize hundreds of gold coins on Kashmir highway
Indian security agencies have recovered between 500 and 600 gold coins from a vehicle on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Three occupants of the car have been taken into custody following the operation.

Security personnel intercepted a Madhya Pradesh-registered vehicle near Vessu on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and recovered a substantial quantity of gold coins during a search operation. National Highway Police and Army personnel stopped and searched the vehicle, which was traveling from Kazigund toward Srinagar. The operation resulted in the seizure of between 500 and 600 gold coins from the car. Three individuals—two men and one woman—who were traveling in the vehicle were detained by security forces for questioning. The circumstances surrounding the transportation of the gold coins and their intended destination remain under investigation. The seizure marks a significant operation against unauthorized bullion movement in the region.
