All educational institutions under the Malaysian Education Ministry in Selangor will shut on Tuesday as air quality deteriorates. Schools are instructed to shift to remote learning to maintain educational continuity.

The Selangor Department of Education has ordered the closure of all schools under the Ministry of Education throughout the state, effective tomorrow, citing poor air quality conditions affecting the region.
In a statement, the department directed all schools to implement remote teaching and learning (PdPR) to ensure students' educational progress is not disrupted during the closure period. The move aims to safeguard the health and safety of students, teachers, and staff amid worsening haze conditions.
Schools have been instructed to transition their instructional activities to online platforms, allowing lessons to continue uninterrupted. Teachers are expected to conduct classes virtually while students participate from their homes.
The decision comes as haze and air quality concerns continue to affect parts of Selangor, prompting authorities to take preventive measures. The department will monitor air quality conditions and announce further updates regarding school operations, with institutions expected to resume normal face-to-face classes once conditions improve.
