Selangor to provide free meals for SPM candidates during exams

The Selangor state government has announced plans to provide complimentary meals to SPM candidates as part of efforts to support students during the crucial national examination period.

Under the NutriSel SPM 2026 initiative, eligible students will receive either breakfast or lunch depending on their examination schedule while sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) tests.

The programme aims to ensure that students can concentrate fully on their studies without concerns about meal provisions during the examination period. By removing potential nutritional barriers, the initiative seeks to create optimal conditions for academic performance.

This move reflects the state's commitment to supporting student welfare and reducing potential obstacles that may affect examination outcomes. The free meal scheme is expected to benefit thousands of SPM candidates across Selangor throughout the examination period.
