Selena Gomez sells California home, upgrades to luxury Beverly Hills estate
Pop star and producer Selena Gomez has offloaded her Encino mansion for $5.4 million after six years of ownership. The sale follows her December 2024 purchase of a $35 million Beverly Hills property.

Gomez parted with the Encino residence at $5.399 million, falling short of the asking price of $6.5 million. The property, which gained recognition as the filming location for her cooking series 'Selena + Chef', was previously owned by late rock musician Tom Petty.
The transaction marks a significant shift in the entertainer's real estate portfolio. Her new Beverly Hills acquisition represents a substantial upgrade, valued at $35 million—more than six times the sale price of her former residence.
The timing of the property transactions aligns with major developments in Gomez's personal life. She became engaged to music producer Benny Blanco before the couple married in September 2025, shortly after purchasing the Beverly Hills estate.
The sale of the Encino home concludes a six-year chapter for Gomez at the property, which gained cultural significance through her popular streaming series that showcased celebrity guests and culinary experiences.
