Sen seeks redemption at China Masters as India eyes strong showing

Sen, who became the first Indian male shuttler to reach an Olympic semifinal at Paris 2022 before finishing fourth, will be keen to regain consistency after suffering a shock second-round loss to world number 92 Garret Tan at the recent World Championships. The left-hander has shown promise this season, including a runner-up finish at the All England Championships, but will need to navigate a strong field in Shenzhen.
Former World No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth will also compete in the tournament, facing Chinese Taipei's Chi Yu-jen in his opening match. Srikanth reached the US Open Super 300 final in June, where he finished runner-up, though his campaign on the professional circuit has been inconsistent since then, with an injury-forced retirement interrupting his schedule.
India's women's contingent will also be in focus at the prestigious Super 750 event, with multiple Indian players set to compete across singles and doubles categories.
