MANILA — The Senate's decision on the conviction threshold for Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial may not come swiftly, according to Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, who suggested the chamber's senator-judges need more deliberation time on the procedural matter.
Lacson's remarks came following the conclusion of the trial's 26th day of proceedings on Wednesday. The question of whether to reduce the number of votes required for conviction has emerged as a significant procedural issue that could influence the trial's outcome.
