Sensex, Nifty 50 May Face Headwinds From Global Market Weakness

Indian stock markets may open on a cautious note as regional and global cues turn negative. Asian markets declined during recent sessions while the US stock market ended mostly lower, signalling a shift in investor sentiment across major economic zones.

Concerns over artificial intelligence spending have emerged as a key pressure point for global equities. Technology stocks, which have driven much of the market rally this year, face scrutiny as investors question the pace and return on massive AI infrastructure investments. This reassessment could weigh on India's IT sector and broader market sentiment.

Rising crude oil prices represent another headwind for Indian markets. Higher energy costs pose inflationary pressures and impact corporate profitability across multiple sectors, from transportation to manufacturing. India's dependence on crude imports makes the market particularly sensitive to oil price movements.

Domestic investors will also monitor other key drivers including rupee movements, foreign fund flows, and domestic economic data releases. The Reserve Bank's monetary policy stance and global interest rate expectations will continue to shape trading patterns. Market participants are advised to remain cautious until clearer direction emerges from both domestic and international developments.
