The Sepang International Circuit will close its doors from September 7 for an extensive maintenance and upgrade programme, the Ministry of Youth and Sports announced. The rehabilitation works extend beyond the racing circuit itself, encompassing improvements to spectator seating, toilet facilities and related infrastructure across the venue. The ministry said the upgrades are designed to enhance the overall experience for visitors and participants at one of Southeast Asia's most important motorsport facilities. The scope of works reflects a commitment to maintaining international standards at the circuit, which has hosted major racing events including Formula One and MotoGP competitions.
