A powerful storm struck Bangkok's Sathon district, leaving a trail of damage as wind brought down trees and electric poles across the area. The incident disrupted traffic flow on key roads as debris scattered across thoroughfares, forcing authorities to implement temporary diversions.
Municipal workers and emergency response teams arrived at the scene to assess the extent of the damage and begin clearing operations. The toppled poles raised concerns about potential disruptions to power supply in the surrounding commercial and residential areas.
The storm underscored the need for heightened preparedness during the seasonal weather patterns that frequently affect the Bangkok metropolitan region. Authorities urged motorists to exercise caution when travelling through affected areas while restoration work continued.
