Shear line and amihan to bring rain across Luzon Wednesday

Manila — A shear line combining with the northeast monsoon, locally known as the amihan, will bring unsettled weather to portions of Luzon on Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The shear line is expected to trigger cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and thunderstorms across affected areas of the island. Pagasa advised residents and businesses in the affected regions to prepare for potential weather disruptions.

The amihan, which typically brings cooler and drier conditions to most of the country during the dry season, will interact with the shear line to create localized precipitation. Meteorologists recommend residents monitor weather updates throughout the day as conditions may change.

Other parts of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, with isolated rain showers possible in some regions. Pagasa continues to monitor atmospheric conditions and will issue updated advisories as necessary.
