Sheng Siong boosts CHAS card discounts to 6% through 2027

Sheng Siong has expanded its subsidy programme for holders of the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) card, doubling down on support for eligible lower-income and pioneer Singaporeans.

Blue CHAS card holders will enjoy a 6% discount on their purchases on Thursdays, while orange card holders receive the same discount rate on Fridays. The increased rebate represents a 50% boost from the previous 4% discount level.

The promotion, which commenced recently, will remain in effect until January 1, 2027, giving cardholders an extended period to benefit from the enhanced savings on their grocery purchases at the supermarket chain's outlets.

CHAS is a government initiative designed to help lower-income Singaporeans and pioneers access subsidised healthcare and other essential services. The collaboration between Sheng Siong and the CHAS programme underscores efforts by retailers to support vulnerable segments of the population through consumer discounts.
