Shiranthi Rajapaksa touched down at BIA, Katunayake, at approximately 11:26 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH 179 from Kuala Lumpur. She had departed the country on August 16 for the medical visit to Singapore.
The former First Lady's return marks the conclusion of a nearly two-month medical sojourn. Details regarding the nature of her treatment and current health status have not been disclosed.
